Formative Research for HPV Vaccine Introduction

Uganda was one of four countries involved in a study that assessed the readiness for the introduction of the HPV in Uganda. The others being Peru, India and Vietnam. This study was conducted in collaboration with PATH/Gates Foundation and the Ministry of Health from 2007 to 2009.

Key results from this study included, a communication and advocacy strategy as IEC materials were developed and used in a two-year demonstration project. A publication was also done.
